You can race your car very fast in Shift to Drift, but it never slows down. Easy to get a handle on the speed, especially around turns.
How to Play Shift to Drift
Your car will be locked at high speed as soon as the race starts, so you'll have to rely on your drifting skills to get around turns and beat the other drivers. When you steer into a corner, drift will happen naturally. To get to the top of the rankings and pass your opponents, you need to be able to control your steering position well.
If you steer too late, you might hit the block. If you turn the wheel too early, you might lose track of the room and drift too much.
Your awards will depend on how you finish in the end. You can use the coins you earn to unlock new cars and improve the performance of parts that are already on them.
The goal is to stay fast and in control as you glide over the top of each turn.
Dynamic Track Surfaces in Shift to Drift
The different track conditions in Shift to Drift are one of its best features. Each surface makes a big difference in how you steer your car:
- Drifts can be stable and planned for on a smooth road.
- Icy surfaces make drift longer and make it harder to turn.
- Loose ground makes slides less predictable and makes it harder to grip.
Drift mode turns on immediately when you turn a corner. To make it through the corner, you need to enter it at the right angle and carefully time your turns.
